Color Scheme Suggestions

Okay, so this is a nice layout and all...except for the part with the chatbox. 'Course, it was always meant to be a temporary layout anyway. So, friends, let's come up with a color scheme! Post your suggestions here :3 Also, feel free to discuss! Honestly, I want you to discuss.

Personally, I really find that this brown has a very welcoming and comforting feel to it...unlike the stark white, bland gray, and cold green over yonder. I definitely want to keep that welcoming and comforting feel, so I was thinking tans, browns, reds, oranges, and/or golds. Thoughts?

Oh, and once we've made the final decision and put everything up, we can decide on staff title colors. Also, again once the final decision is made, we'll need a pretty banner! We'll discuss that afterwards, too.

I completely agree with the color suggestions. Perhaps the brown being a bit lighter, that way more of the colors show up better. Also, the red might be cool if it were a rusty red color.

The three I like the best are brown, red, and gold.

Yeah, I'd had a lighter brown in mind. And rusty red was actually what I'd pictured, lol.

LOL, on the same thought pattern once again. This is becoming a habit.

Could we perhaps switch to a warmer, deeper red? Because the one thing I liked about the old scheme was that aside from the box, it was really easy on the eyes with regards to brightness and stuff.

Oh, sorry, this theme isn't permanent at all ^^; It's just something to look nice in the meantime while I make the theme we're going to use from scratch. The only reason we don't still have the old one is because I switched from Invision structure to phpBB3 structure, which is tons better. So, uh, just sit tight I guess

I would say a darker red, and maybe a reddish-purple with some black and gold?

This. I agree with this. I think earth tones are nice.

I like the idea of the lighter brown/darker red. I also liked how it looked before. It felt really...welcoming, to me. I like the little designs on the chatbox. Oh, and I think the Mod colors should be darkened a bit. It's bright and is kind of hard to see in the box. I can read it, just not easily. Maybe just a shade darker? *Shrugs* Just a suggestion. I agree with everyone else about the colors.

Alright, cool. So which colors should go where? And yeah, staff colors were going to be changed once the official skin was finished.

I would like more contrast. That is all.

I like the intenisty of the red that borders the chatbox and the paler red tones that border that. The squigglys I am meh about. White on the borders of the site pester me with their paleness. If we could get back to a chocolatey tone like the one that was here before, along with the nice red, it would be very smooth to mah retinas.
